Alpine Shire Council requests tenders from suitably qualified and experienced consultants to Project Manage the implementation of the Food Organics and Garden Organics (FOGO) collection service across the Alpine Shire Council. Alpine Shire Council has committed to delivering a FOGO service commencing in July 2023; this will encompass a kerbside collection service across townships and drop-off points for rural properties.
As the project manager delivering this project you will be required to:
• Work collaboratively with the Sustainability Team, kerbside collection contractors, transfer station operations and other internal and external stakeholders to manage development and deliver the FOGO service implementation;
• Take the established project scope through to successful completion including project planning, budgeting, communication and education, rollout and monitoring and review;
• Participate in the collaborative procurement tender review panel for the kerbside collection contract and manage the subsequent procurement contract;
• Manage the community education and engagement program, the success of which is critical to the success of the service implementation;
• Provide regular project reporting to Council executive;
• Provide technical and project advice, to a variety of internal and external stakeholders;
• Evaluate the success of the project through qualitative and quantitative measures including community engagement, service uptake and contamination rates;
• Ensure compliance with the Alpine Shire Council Waste Policy as well as the Recycling Victoria 2020 Policy.
