Alpine Shire Council is seeking the services of suitably qualified consultants to prepare detailed designs for upgrades to the Dinner Plain village.
Although a Dinner Plain Master Plan Strategy was prepared in 2015, the success of the Snow Park at Scrubbers End and the consultation process around a recent village green proposal has resulted in a refocus of priorities for infrastructure projects at Dinner Plain. In consultation with the Dinner Plain community, detailed designs will be prepared for a number of upgrade projects in Dinner Plain. The detailed designs will enable the works to be prioritised for delivery and then tendered for construction in following years. The designs will include:
• Improved traffic movements and car parking in both the village centre and Scrubbers End precinct;
• Improved pedestrian connections and wayfinding around the village and Scrubbers End precinct, as well as links between the two precincts;
• Improved amenities and facilities at Scrubbers End, including safety improvements to Peashooters Toboggan Run and the end of the ski run; and
• A small village green or open space.
The budget for this consultancy is $50,000 (+GST).
