The Alpine Shire requests tenders from suitably qualified and experienced contractors for the replacement of the Myrtleford pool plant including pump and leaf basket, sand filter, and all associated pipework and the replacement of the chlorine and acid feed lines to comply with current OH&S standards. The scope of works also includes the removal and proper disposal of all redundant equipment and the commissioning of the new equipment.
The Myrtleford pool includes a 25x11 metre pool, (deep end - 2.2m, shallow end of 0.8m); an intermediate pool, 8x11 metres, (approximate depth of 0.8m), and a small Toddlers pool. The estimated volume of water across all three pools is 450,000 litres. The new plant must provide the required water turnover rate in accordance with the Victorian government Department of Health Draft Water quality guidelines for public aquatic facilities.
