The E-Waste Infrastructure Upgrades project involves the construction of a storage shed for E-Waste at each of the Alpine Shire Council's three transfer stations; Porepunkah, Mount Beauty and Myrtleford. E-Waste will be banned from landfill from the 1st July 2019 with The Victorian Government introducing a new waste management policy specifying how E-Waste shall be handled and stored. To be able to comply with this new policy, funding has been made available to Victorian councils through Sustainability Victoria to upgrade E-waste management infrastructure.
Alpine Shire Council is seeking tenders from suitably qualified and experienced contractors for the design and supply of the E-Waste storage sheds, including footings and slabs, as well as associated site preparation and civil works, at each of the Alpine Shire Council's three Transfer Stations.
The package of works is separated into 3 parts and tenderers may make a submission for all or some of the parts. The 3 parts are:
Part 1 - Porepunkah E-Waste Storage Facility
Part 2 - Myrtleford E-Waste Storage Facility
Part 3 - Mount Beauty E-Waste Storage Facility
