Alpine Shire Council is seeking the services of suitably qualified consultants to undertake a feasibility study for a childcare centre in Porepunkah.
Alpine View Children’s Centre in Bright operates childcare services for families in the upper Ovens Valley region. Alpine View is at capacity and some families are missing out on childcare services or are being compelled to travel to Myrtleford or Mount Beauty to access childcare.
The feasibility study will:
1. Analyse the need for additional childcare services;
2. Establish the requirements for a new centre;
3. Engage with key stakeholders to determine the opportunities and constraints of five potential sites in Porepunkah; and
4. Provide a concept, cost estimate, and scope for a new facility in the preferred location.
The study will also provide a concept design and cost estimate for re-configuration of the existing Alpine View Children’s Centre in Bright to increase capacity of the facility and address the immediate demand.
