The Alpine Shire requests tenders from suitably qualified and experienced contractors for road construction works at four locations throughout the Alpine Shire. The roads nominated (Merriang South Road (Merriang South), Mystic Lane (Bright), Egglestons Lane (Buckland) and Grange Road (Porepunkah))
are currently unsealed roads, generally in good condition. The scope of this project is to
(1) prepare the existing road base as described,
(2) lay and compact an additional layer of crushed rock on the existing base, then
(3) to apply a bituminous seal over the upgraded pavement.
There are minor associated drainage works as described in the schedule.
