As a result of the exponential growth of cycle tourism to the Shire, Alpine Shire Council recently completed the development of a "Cycle Safety Strategy" aiming to address safety of road users (cycle and vehicles). The Safe Systems Approach referred to in the Strategy and TAC’s pillars of: Safe Roads, Safe Speeds and Safe People has been applied in the development of recommendations of the Cycle Safety Strategy. A number of recommendations were made to improve road users experience, including infrastructure treatments and delivery of collateral and education to road users. The successful Consultant for this project will be expected to engage with stakeholders to understand the issues, explore existing or design educational collateral, material and campaigns and implement the same.
