Council seeks the services of a consultant to prepare a detailed Land Development Strategy for the Shire.
The LDS will identify future requirements for residential, industrial and commercially zoned land across the Shire, based on the collection and analysis of all available relevant growth data, relevant constraints and identified opportunities. It will be informed and guided by Council’s Community Vision, Economic Development Strategy (currently under preparation) and other relevant Council planning policy documents. The LDS will have a 2050 horizon and will form the basis of a major amendment to the Alpine Planning Scheme (APS). The LDS will have a key objective of improving resilience and wellbeing in local communities through appropriate planning controls.
