Alpine Shire Council is seeking offers from suitably qualified and experienced contractors for the construction of approximately 2.5km of guardrail in accordance with the specified design on the Great Alpine Road between Freeburgh and Harrietville. The guardrail will be constructed in sections and is intended, as a safety improvement for motorists and also to provide delineation and protection for the (soon to be constructed) shared path trail (known as the Great Valley Trail) that will be on the Western shoulder of the road reserve through these sections.
