Alpine Shire Council requests tenders from suitably qualified and experienced contractors for the rehabilitation of a range of identified road pavement defects throughout the township of Myrtleford and surrounding areas. Works shall be carried out in accordance with the specifications and methodologies contained in the tender documents.
During the annual road condition inspection program, a range of pavement defects have been identified that will require rehabilitation through a combination of In Situ Stabilisation or Dig-Out and Replace methodologies.
Council has experienced good results using insoluble polymer stabilising agents during recent pavement rehabilitation programs and prefers this method of in situ stabilisation. However, given the diverse spread of locations and composition of existing road pavements, consideration for alternative stabilising agents will be made and provision for the use of cement is included in the Lump Sum Tender Schedule and Detailed Pricing Schedule.
