The Alpine Shire requests tenders from suitably qualified and experienced contractors for vegetation control, light grading, culvert installation, batter work, formation grading, rock supply and gravel re-sheeting works on the Dargo High Plains Road.
Successful tenderer’s shall have prior experience in all aspects of unsealed road maintenance works including works on alpine roads, within a National Park and, in possible extreme alpine weather conditions.
Although the works will mainly take place within the previously disturbed formed carriageway of the Dargo High Plains Road, careful consideration to the protection of the ecology within the surrounding National Park and the road carriageway will be held as a priority during construction.
