The Alpine Shire Council is seeking quotations from suitably qualified and experienced organisations to support Council Officers with a review of Council’s Revenue and Rate Plan.
As part of the 2020 Local Government Act reform in Victoria and the integrated Strategic Planning and Reporting Framework (ISPRF), Councils are required to prepare and adopt a Revenue and Rating Plan (s. 93).
Council has adopted a Revenue and Rating Plan 2021 which establishes the framework within which Council proposes to work.
The purpose of the Revenue and Rating Plan is to determine the most appropriate and affordable revenue and rating approach for Alpine Shire Council which, in conjunction with other sources will adequately finance the objectives in the Council Plan.
Alpine Shire Council intends to review this plan early in the 2023/24 financial year, to take effect in the 2024/25 rate year.
