Alpine Shire Council seeks to engage a consultant to provide the Geotechnical Inspection and Testing Authority (GITA) and Construction Quality (CQA) for the on-site level 1 supervision. Supervision services are required for the capping works at Myrtleford Transfer Station for Cell 1 and Cell 2 in accordance with the AS3798-2007 Guidelines, Earthworks for Commercial and Residential Development under the Environment Protection Act 1970.
The GITA will be responsible for conducting inspections and testing as required in the Technical Specifications and have the equipment and competence to carry out all on-site field testing as listed in the Technical Specifications. The GITA/CQA shall be experienced in earthworks, e.g. a geotechnical professional, geo-technician or have an inspection authority accreditation in accordance with ISO/IEC 17020 and have an understanding of the Technical Specification and CQA Plan as attached.
