The Alpine Shire Council requests tenders from suitably qualified and experienced contractors to support our Building Services in the delivery of its Municipal building surveying and inspector services. Council delivers a customer focused, cost effective, quality and innovative Municipal Building Surveyor and Building Permit Service to serve the communities within the Alpine Shire. This service includes issuing building permits, undertaking mandatory building inspections, swimming pool inspections, Part 8 enforcement and all other regulatory requirements under the Building Act 1993.
The contract service delivery will be made up of a Municipal Building Surveyor (MBS) of 8 hours per week, and a Building Surveyor/Inspector Limited of 32 - 38 hours per week.
While the MBS support may be provided remotely, it is preferred that Building Surveyor/Inspector services are provided predominantly onsite, with options to work remotely. This would be negotiated with the successful tenderer, based on the availability of the candidates selected.
The MBS must be registered with the VBA as a BS-U with no conditions. While the building inspector/surveyor limited must be registered with the VBA.
