The Alpine Shire requests tenders from suitably qualified and experienced contractors for the works required to repair and upgrade the existing skate park facility to a safe standard. Extending the lifespan of the asset so it can continue to be a valuable piece of active recreation infrastructure.
The Bright Skate Park has been built in several stages over the years, with the older sections showing more deterioration than the newer additions.
The renewal of this facility seeks to not only extend the lifespan of the existing infrastructure, but also maximise capacity, and modernise outdated features within the park. Enhancing the safety for all users.
The Invitation to Tender comprises three options:
• Option 1: Repair only
Repair of existing faults and safety issues with the existing facility.
• Option 2: Repair and modification and additions
Repair works as detailed in option 1. Modification of some existing features. Construction of additional skate park area and quarter pipe at south end of facility with additional quarter pipe at north end of facility.
• Option 3: Repair, modification, and additions
All works as detailed in option 1 and 2, construction and installation of new mini ramp and associated drainage.
