Alpine Shire Council has an Asset Plan and 7 Individual Asset Plans that are requirements of Section 92 of the Local Government Act 2020. Alpine Shire Council is required to review and revise its existing Asset Plan and seven Individual Asset Plans for the success of the management of their assets.
Alpine Shire Council’s Financial Plan sets the framework for Council to make long term financial decisions which involve how revenue is generated, the borrowing strategy, the use of reserves and capital investment allocations. The Financial Plan places Council in a financially sustainable position in the long term while addressing the aspirations of the community vision, priorities of the Council Plan and alignment with the Asset Plan.
In accordance with the Local Government Act 2020, Council is required to develop a 10-year Financial Plan (2025-2035) that is informed by a Financial Sustainability Review to understand Council’s current financial position and ensure a strong future financial position.
