Alpine Shire Council has secured funding for the redevelopment of the Mount Beauty Library in Lakeside Avenue, Mount Beauty, Victoria. The project aims to deliver an inspiring learning and participatory hub for the local community. This will be achieved by:
- Increasing the size of the reading / library area by incorporating currently underutilised building space;
- Re-orienting internal functions and external modifications to realise synergies with the adjacent recreation reserve and Mount Beauty pondage.
The scope involves the refurbishment of the existing Library building internally, upgrading the facade, replacing the front entry awning and adding a large deck to the rear of the building.
