Alpine Shire Council is currently seeking to engage a suitably experienced and qualified Ecological and Cultural Heritage consultant to prepare for and support the construction of Mountain Bike Trails at Dinner Plain in accordance with a number of conditions provided by the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning, (DELWP).
The Alpine Shire Council has been working closely with the Dinner Plain community to develop a comprehensive Mountain Bike Trail network on Council owned land, immediately adjacent to the village. Extensive planning and trail design has been carried out over past two years to determine alignments and construction methodology which recognises the high ecological value of the subject site.
It is anticipated that construction will be undertaken in two stages with Stage 1 commencing in late January 2018 and Stage 2 occurring in early 2019, with completion of all trails by March 2019. This contract will be for the entirety of the trail construction period.
