The Alpine Shire Council is seeking offers from suitably qualified and experienced drilling contractors for the installation of (3) gas monitoring bores and (1) leachate monitoring bore.
In 2017 Alpine Shire Council capped and rehabilitated Porepunkah Landfill Cells 2, 3 and 4 to EPA Best Practice Environmental Management guidelines. As part of the site aftercare management, Council are now seeking to install (3) gas monitoring wells outside the perimeter of the capped cells to ensure there is no horizontal gas movement and replace (1) leachate monitoring well in Cell 2.
