The Alpine Shire requests tenders from suitably qualified and experienced contractors for the construction of a pedestrian crossing on the Kiewa Valley HWY at Tawonga South.
The wide traffic pavement of the KVH and poor definition of the existing crossing point has resulted in safety concerns by crossing users and residents.
This project aims to improve the safety of the shared path crossing point by reconstructing the kerb outstands, introducing a median island, re-marking the existing traffic lanes and upgrading advanced warning/shared path signage in accordance with the Vic Roads endorsed construction plan (forming part of the specification in this contract).
