The Alpine Shire requests tenders from suitably qualified and experienced contractors for the upgrade and renewal of the Mount Beauty Pondage Trail. The principal aim of this project is to widen the Trail from the existing 1.5-1.8m to a minimum of 2m and to provide a smooth asphalt surface. The Mount Beauty Pondage Trail is a vital recreational loop providing scenic views of the Kiewa Valley and access to local facilities. It generally carries heavy pedestrian and cyclist traffic at all times of year and particularly heavy traffic during peak tourist seasons.
Brief Scope Of Works

• Set out of works
• Removal and reinstallation of trail side furniture and barriers
• Profiling of existing formation to achieve design parameters
• Undertake stabilising/widening works to pavement
• Asphalt surfacing of new pavement
• General reinstatement works
