Purpose:
The purpose of this project is to investigate new and emerging technologies and methodologies to collect and analyse data that supports asset investment decisions and improved monitoring, evaluation and performance reporting. This includes evaluation and comparison of efficiency and cost effectiveness gains over existing data collection methods.
Deliverables:
The Outputs of this project will be:
- A technical report which documents the review and defines the needs, covering:
a) responsibilities within the asset management cycle;
b) describes specific strategies and current and emerging technologies which could deliver best value in meeting their needs
- Recommendations for a strategic, dynamic approach to addressing future needs on a continuous improvement basis, including a ten-year action plan.
- A source book (guideline) of road related data needs and acquisition and its historical development, including appropriateness for different steps in the asset management cycle, and considering different levels of demand, road importance, etc., and affordability/appropriateness across the whole roads sector.
- A suite of dissemination and training materials targeted at different audiences including senior executives, road asset managers and practitioners, with the pilot materials (produced as part of this project) tested through various media and forums, including social media-type solutions, workshops and webinars.
Also included as part of this tender is a copy of our Consultancy Agreement outlining our Terms and Conditions.
