Purpose:
This project will review the current methodologies in use in Austroads member agencies to assess pavement infrastructure, supporting the design of a nationally consistent infrastructure assessment guideline in line with the PBS reforms proposed by the NTC from the 2018 review of the PBS scheme
Deliverables:
• A Report that summarises the current methodologies used in ANZ to assess and design pavement infrastructure for PBS vehicles, recommends a nationally consistent pavement assessment methodology, and captures the high-level impact of the recommendations on each jurisdiction.
• Guidelines aimed at supporting Local Governments in their pavement assessment for PBS vehicles.
All recommendations provided by the selected Consultant as part of the project are required to be accompanied at a minimum by a high-level qualitative assessment of costs and efforts that would be incurred by the Austroads members for their implementation. Jurisdictions impact will be discussed and assessed collaboratively throughout the project between the Project manager, the Project Working Group and the selected Consultant.
All data / datasets captured and /or generated as part of the project form part of the project outputs that the selected Consultant is responsible to deliver to Austroads. Direction regarding the expected output format of the data / datasets will be sought by the Consultant during the project through the Austroads Project Manager.
Also included as part of this tender are the following documents:
- Instructions for Authors of Austroads Publications which sets out the writing and formatting standards for research, technical and internal reports.
- Master Services Agreement outlining our Terms and Conditions. Please note that our Terms and Conditions are not negotiable.
