PURPOSE:
The purpose of this project is to improve road network resilience by incorporating climate change resilience in asset management processes.
SCOPE:
The project will develop a report that provides a best practice wholistic approach to incorporate climate resilience in asset management processes. The report to include the following key elements:
• Considerations on selecting network level climate change risk assessment tools including data and models
• Network vulnerability and criticality assessment including considerations on socio-economic and environment
• Development of network resilience strategies including prioritisation and treatment options based on both whole of network criticality and whole of life costing analysis
• Development of emergency management strategies based on climate change scenario analysis
• Climate change resilience interfaces with other stakeholders to ensure a whole of government approach
• User cases that demonstrate how the above elements are applied by Austroads member agencies and recommendations on areas of improvement.
The project will conduct an extensive literature review and industry scan to identify the best practices in the above-mentioned elements. The current practices from Austroads member agencies, such as the research works from National Asset Centre of Excellence (NACOE) will also be utilised.
DELIVERABLES:
This project will produce the following final deliverables:
• Research report
• Implementation plan
• Project data with populated metadata spreadsheet
• Webinar.
Also included as part of this tender are the following documents:
• Writing & Format Requirements for Austroads Publications which sets out the writing and formatting standards for research, technical and internal reports.
• Master Services Agreement outlining our Terms and Conditions. Please note that our Terms and Conditions are not negotiable.
All submissions are to be submitted as a PDF at a maximum size of 10MB.
All submissions are to include a completed Tender Proposal Coversheet.
