The purpose of this project is to conduct a pilot of innovative treatments with the aim of reducing the number of motorcyclist casualties on high risk sections of road through mountainous terrain.
The outputs of this project will include:
- a review of current research on innovative and traditional motorcycle treatments;
- an options analysis report, including site selection and audit;
- a report that documents the implementation of treatments including an approved design exception required for the trialling of recommended treatments options;
- a comprehensive before and after evaluation of the trialled treatments; and
- recommendations for the modification and implementation of treatment options.
