Purpose:
The purpose of this project is to update the Austroads Guide to Pavement Technology (AGPT):
• Part 1 Introduction to Pavement Technology
• Part 3 Pavement Surfacings
• Part 4 Pavement Materials.
Scope:
The project will update the Guide to Pavement Technology Parts 1, 3 and 4 in consultation with appropriate Austroads technical groups, member agencies and other stakeholders.
Part 1 provides general information regarding pavement technology. Part 3 addresses the selection of pavement surfacing, and Part 4 provides an overview of the criteria by which pavement materials should be assessed. Parts 1, 3 and 4 provide informative guidance.
Parts 1, 3 and 4 are to undergo a minor update to revise:
• references, terminology and guidance ensuring consistency with other more recently published Austroads documents including Specifications, Work Tips and AGPT Parts
• photos to reflect current practices
• commentary relating to new materials including High Modulus Asphalt (EME) and Gap Graded Crumb Rubber asphalt
• commentary relating to recycled materials, climate change, energy consumption (e.g., Part 4 Tables 4.4 – 4.6, recycled materials etc) to reflect more recently updated AGPT Parts and other readily available information.
Deliverables:
This project will produce the following final deliverables:
• Updated editions of the Austroads Guide to Pavement Technology (AGPT):
- Part 1 Introduction to Pavement Technology
- Part 3 Pavement Surfacings
- Part 4 Pavement Materials
• Webinar
• Project data with populated metadata spreadsheet.
Also included as part of this tender are the following documents:
• Writing & Format Requirements for Austroads Publications which sets out the writing and formatting standards for research, technical and internal reports.
• Master Services Agreement outlining our Terms and Conditions. Please note that our Terms and Conditions are not negotiable.
All submissions are to be submitted as a PDF at a maximum size of 10MB.
All submissions are to include a completed Tender Proposal Coversheet.
The naming convention for submissions is: [your Company name] – [Project No.] – [any internal reference numbers].
