Purpose:

Austroads seeks responses from appropriately experienced service providers to:
• gather evidence on recent best practice in speed management and
• use this to update the Guide to Road Safety Part 3 on Safe Speeds.

The project will be undertaken in two stages, with a series of deliverables and objectives. The first phase
will include a desktop assessment of specific issues relating to speed management, each of which has been identified as a gap in knowledge. The second phase will use these learnings to update the Guide to Road Safety Part 3.

The project will include the development of guidance for senior government executives, senior road
safety leaders, road safety delivery partners and elected officials on effective speed management. The guidance will be practical, and provide actionable processes and steps for the management of speed.

Deliverables:

This project will produce the following deliverables:
• Research report based on findings from Workstream 1
• Webinar 1 on research findings from Workstream 1
• Updated Guide to Road Safety Part 3
• Webinar 2 on changes to the Guide to Road Safety Part 3.

Also included as part of this tender are the following documents:
• Writing & Format Requirements for Austroads Publications which sets out the writing and formatting standards for research, technical and internal reports.
• Master Services Agreement outlining our Terms and Conditions. Please note that our Terms and Conditions are not negotiable.
