Austroads invites Expressions of Interest (EoI) for Phase 1 of SRD6498 from specialists to work as part of an integrated project team to assist the transformation and modernisation of Austroads Guide to Road Design (AGRD).
The capabilities sought by this EoI are:
a) Development of structured authoring frameworks for digital (guidance-like) content that make use of the advantages offered by digital platforms as well as accommodating legacy needs and styles. For clarity, this item does not relate to the development of a digital guide platform, but rather the detailed content structures and templates available for use on an implemented instance of such platforms.
b) Experience in writing, structuring, and organising guidance for technical activities used by a broad audience.
c) Familiarity with the overall Austroads Guide to Road Design (AGRD) to ensure that the frameworks and templates provide for the likely needs of the full AGRD when transitioned to a new platform, format and digital-first content approach.
d) Familiarity with the general business process for those who rely upon the AGRD, such as the end-to-end process for road design and the broader workflows of engineers, planners and designers who rely on AGRD guidance.
Also included as part of this EoI are the following documents:
• Writing & Format Requirements for Austroads Publications which sets out the writing and formatting standards for research, technical and internal reports.
• Master Services Agreement outlining our Terms and Conditions. Please note that our Terms and Conditions are not negotiable.
All submissions are to be submitted as a PDF at a maximum size of 10MB.
All submissions must use the Response Form (Attachment 1).
The naming convention for submissions is: [your Company name] – [Project No.] – [any internal reference numbers].
