Tue 08/01/2019 - 05:00 PM AEDTTender Details
Purpose:
This project will identify how road agencies can best support Electric Vehicles (EVs) through their road operational and registration and licensing functions, preferably in a nationally consistent manner. Through making these changes, road authorities can contribute to the broader environmental, mobility and safety outcomes that EVs may bring. Australian EV sales in Q1 2018 rose by by 132% over the corresponding previous period. Many vehicle brands are indicating significant forward product shifts from conventional power trains to battery electric or hydrogen fuel cell electric power trains. This project will ensure road authorities are well placed to support EV introduction by assessing the implications for road authorities and suggesting guidance.
Deliverables:
• A final report which covers all elements of the methodology above.
• An accepted project plan including methodology for lit review (Project manager endorsed)
• An interview schedule and tool for interviews (Project manager endorsed)
• Recommendations for changes to state and territory and practice
