Purpose:
This project will explore the demand for, and opportunities to, develop improvements in trip generation estimates associated with land-use activities to enable more reliable transport demand analysis and network impact assessments in Australia and New Zealand.
The application of current estimates and databases sourced from local and international markets will be included in the review, along with an examination of current practices across members and developments in trip rates that are cognisant of the type of modes involved.
Deliverables:
An Austroads report summarising the findings of consultation with jurisdictions and recommending actions to improve predictable and accurate assessments including whether traffic surveys should be undertaken to calculate specific trip generation rates for Australia and New Zealand.
All recommendations provided by the selected Consultant as part of the project are required to be accompanied at a minimum by a high-level qualitative assessment of costs and efforts that would be incurred by the Austroads members for their implementation. Jurisdictions impact will be discussed and assessed collaboratively throughout the project between the Project manager, the Project Working Group and the selected Consultant.
All data / datasets captured and /or generated as part of the project form part of the project outputs that the selected Consultant is responsible to deliver to Austroads. Direction regarding the expected output format of the data / datasets will be sought by the Consultant during the project through the Austroads Project Manager.
Also included as part of this tender are the following documents:
- Instructions for Authors of Austroads Publications which sets out the writing and formatting standards for research, technical and internal reports.
- Master Services Agreement outlining our Terms and Conditions. Please note that our Terms and Conditions are not negotiable.
