Purpose:

The purpose of this project is to update the Austroads Guide to Pavement Technology Part 4B: Asphalt to reflect current best practice, specifications and test methods, latest field/construction experiences and technologies, and recent research related to asphalt, including its constituents.

Scope:

The project will update the Austroads Guide to Pavement Technology Part 4B: Asphalt to reflect relevant information from Austroads reports and other related Australasian research completed since it was published in 2014. The updated Guide will also consider current transport jurisdiction specifications, research and approaches. A literature review and consultation with Austroads member agencies and other stakeholders will also be conducted.

Deliverables:

This project will produce the following final deliverables:
• Updated edition of Austroads Guide to Pavement Technology Part 4B: Asphalt
• Webinar
• Project data with populated metadata spreadsheet.

Also included as part of this tender are the following documents:
• Writing & Format Requirements for Austroads Publications which sets out the writing and formatting standards for research, technical and internal reports.
• Master Services Agreement outlining our Terms and Conditions. Please note that our Terms and Conditions are not negotiable.
