Purpose:

Austroads seeks proposals from suitably qualified firms to be considered for appointment as external auditors commencing for the year ending 30 June 2025.

Scope:

The scope and services required include:
1. Carry out such works as to form an audit opinion for each entity that the financial statements are prepared in accordance with the requirements of Australian Accounting Standards (as applicable), the Corporations Act 2001, and other mandatory professional reporting requirements forming part of the financial reporting framework.
2. Provision of a management letter for each entity detailing matters arising from the audit not otherwise reported, including suggested improvements.
3. Assist in the preparation of the financial reports for each entity.
4. Acquittal audits as required for grant/funding monies received from the Commonwealth Government for each entity.
5. Attendance at Executive or Board meetings to discuss matters arising from the audit, if required.
6. Other reasonable associated services, such as interpretations on relevant new or proposed legislative or accounting standard changes and application.
7. Completion of the audit process and audit reports within agreed timeframes to allow the meeting of statutory and internal deadlines.

All submissions are to be submitted as a PDF at a maximum size of 10MB.

All submissions are to include a completed Tender Proposal Coversheet.
