Purpose:
The project will review the range of systems managed by each State Road and Transport Agency and the range of ITS devices, consider current processes and controls in place, evaluate their effectiveness base on relevant risk level and propose suitable treatments to be implemented that should significantly reduce the likelihood of the risk occurring.
The project will produce a report that documents the processes and controls including recommendations that should be considered for the security management of:
• ITS Systems;
• Communication Network; and
• ITS devices.
Deliverables:
• Produce an internal report that assesses the vulnerability of the current devices and their integration with existing control systems (SCATS, STREAMS, etc) and to provide recommended processes and controls for each road and transport agency to securely and effectively operate their ITS Systems, communication network and ITS devices.
• Based on the result and effectiveness of the existing controls and processes, provide an estimated implementation cost for each agency.
• One project dissemination webinar (Austroads members audience only).
