Purpose:
To review current international and national practices and conduct specific research into the design of large cantilever, gantry structures and sign structures in order to determine the most appropriate design and construction methodologies for use in Australia and New Zealand. Improved design and construction advice reduces the risk to the road authorities arising from failures.
To prepare Austroads Guidelines for the design and construction of these structures and ultimately to incorporate relevant clauses into AS5100 Bridge Design and the AGBT.
Deliverables:
An Austroads Guide: "Design Guidelines for the delivery of large cantilever and gantry structures".

Also included as part of this tender is a copy of our Consultancy Agreement outlining our Terms and Conditions.
