Purpose:
The dual purpose of this project is to:
• Develop updated guidance on freeway capacity analysis (Module #1), and
• Develop a tool that will aid practitioners to determine when to transition towards prioritising on-road public transport (Module #2).
Deliverables:
• Improved guidance on freeway capacity analysis for Australia and New Zealand, captured as updated content in the Guide to Traffic Management (or as a Guideline).
• A tool for supporting practitioners to design On-Road Public Transport priority treatments.
• Dissemination webinars.
All recommendations provided by the selected Consultant as part of the project are required to be accompanied at a minimum by a high-level qualitative assessment of costs and efforts that would be incurred by the Austroads members for their implementation. Jurisdictions impact will be discussed and assessed collaboratively throughout the project between the Project manager, the Project Working Group and the selected Consultant.
All data / datasets captured and /or generated as part of the project form part of the project outputs that the selected Consultant is responsible to deliver to Austroads. Direction regarding the expected output format of the data / datasets will be sought by the Consultant during the project through the Austroads Project Manager.
Also included as part of this tender are the following documents:
- Instructions for Authors of Austroads Publications which sets out the writing and formatting standards for research, technical and internal reports.
- Master Services Agreement outlining our Terms and Conditions. Please note that our Terms and Conditions are not negotiable.
