The Great Barrier Reef Foundation's Resilient Reefs Initiative partners with communities across four World Heritage Reef sites to respond to climate change and local threats.
In 2020, the Resilient Reefs Initiative engaged with Traditional Owners and local stakeholders to review the best available science and articulate a bold vision for Ningaloo Coast’s resilience. Together they identified aspirations, objectives and potential actions that could be implemented by local Traditional Owners, community organisations, businesses or management agencies to strengthen socio-ecological resilience in the region.
A variety of grants are now available for projects that empower the local community to undertake practical, on-ground actions that will drive on-ground impact and catalyse broader resilience building efforts. Potential applicants should read the Funding Guidelines before deciding whether to submit an EOI.
Applications open on Monday 20 June 2022 and will close at 11:45pm AWST, Monday 11 July 2022.
Applicants should submit their documentation via tenders.net by the due date.
