The Great Barrier Reef Foundation (GBRF) in partnership with the Australian Government under the Reef Trust Partnership, is seeking proposals from suitably qualified consultants to develop a modelling tool or tools for wetland hydrology and nutrients with a focus on processing total nitrogen (TN) and dissolved inorganic nitrogen (DIN).
It is envisaged this ‘model’ will be used by investors, project developers and other stakeholders seeking to develop and implement projects to improve water quality entering the Great Barrier Reef lagoon, with the specific objective that all proposed nitrogen reduction projects would be required to use this model, to deliver greater confidence and scientifically robust consistently in project prioritisation and assessment.
Applications open on Monday 21 November 2022 and will close at 5:00PM (AEST) Wednesday 18 January 2023.
