Request for Tender - ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION CONDITION REPORT (EICR)
Background
The Pacific Islands Forum Secretariat invites local services providers to tender for the engagement to carry out an Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) for its headquarters located at Ratu Sukuna Road, Suva.
There are 21 buildings at the Secretariat which are over 30 years old and the EICR must address the following:
• If the electrical circuits are of good condition and safe to use
• Whether any defective electrical works have been installed in any of the buildings
• Suggests any requirement for the change in electrical circuits and appliances that can lead to severe damage.
• The adequacy of earthing and bonding along with the suitability of the switchgear and control gear.
• Indicate the present condition of the wiring system and the entire circuitry.
• Protection that can be provided to the system and sockets for the portability of electrical equipment.
• Adequate measures that can be taken to improve the efficiency of the electrical system.
Purpose
The bidders will be evaluated based on merit and on the evaluation criteria and the successful candidate will be offered a service contract to provide carry out the EICR for the Secretariat’s facilities.
Tender Specifications
• All Tenderers are to provide a detailed specification of their scope of work based on the general requirements of this tender and may include any scope that they think appropriate to be considered for this exercise.
• A detailed schedule of costs is to be provided for the proposed scope of work with tentative timelines.

Submissions must be electronically submitted and should be converted to PDF Format.
Note: Tenders must be submitted with clear labelling of the technical offer and the financial offer.
Deadline for Submissions
Submissions need to reach the Secretariat by 5.00pm on Monday 9 November 2020 (Fiji time). Late or incomplete tenders will not be considered.
Question and Answer
All queries or requests for information must be submitted in writing via the Question and Answer Forum on www.tenders.net/forumsec before the stated “deadline for requesting clarifications” is Wednesday 4 November 2020, 2.00pm. The Secretariat has no obligation to provide clarification after this date.
Site Visit Appointment
Request for a site visit appointment (stating preferred date and time) must be emailed to procurement@forumsec.org
Note: The Secretariat will not be responsible for non-receipt/non-delivery of the Bid documents due to any reason whatsoever.
