REQUEST FOR TENDER

PRP Website with Pacific Design and Tools Package

Background

The Pacific Resilience Partnership and Taskforce has strategized the need to strengthen the brand and visibility of work across the region focused on resilient development. This includes generating access to resources and tools that would allow and support increased resilience and the integration of climate change and disaster risk management activities with recognition that carbon neutral and renewable development supports the resilience of the Pacific into the future.

The key visibility tool for this effort is the PRP’s (www.resilientpacific.org) website. The needs of the site are to allow seamless integration of relevant event and news information whilst ensuring clear, focused and relevant data, tools and information and lessons learned is available within the space to support the achievement of resilient development across the region.

Visually, the revamped website will bring forward the stories and activities taking place across the region (including links to external websites that provide resilience data and evidence) and provide a welcoming ‘showcase’ gateway into the Resilient Pacific work.

Purpose

The Pacific Resilience Partnership Support Unit team requests support of a specialized company to revamp this site. This process will imply the enforcement of corporate branding guidelines (including colour and logo guidelines) which the design team will support the development of, cutting-edge accessibility, responsiveness and functionality for Pacific audiences, the ability to work efficiently in low-bandwidth contexts, and cross-posting capabilities with other websites specifically SPC, PIFS and SPREP.

Scope of Work

This rebuild will include migration of existing content from a range of sites (including news) and integration with partner sites such as SPC, PIFS and SPREP. The CMS will be required to harvest information therefore Drupal is preferred.

The consultant will carry out further responsibilities and tasks as per specifications set out under the Terms of Reference (TOR) document which can be downloaded from www.tenders.net/forumsec.
