2021 Pacific Resilience Meeting (PRM) Logistics Coordinator
Background
The consultancy is established for the purpose of planning, managing, and coordinating the logistical arrangements for the 2021 Pacific Resilience Meeting (PRM), from 6th to 8th July 2021.
The PRM brings together representatives of Governments and Administrations of Pacific Countries and Territories, Civil Society Organisations, Private Sector representatives, Partner agencies including regional and multilateral organisations, as well as academia.
For 2021 it will be held virtually with satellite hubs at the national level to enable participation and engagement from the national level.
Purpose
The main objective of the tender is to select a suitable candidate to facilitate and coordinate all logistics of the 2021 PRM with a specific focus on setting up the national satellite hubs for all participating Pacific Island Countries and Territories (PICTs).
The consultant will be expected to set-up and coordinate with national focal points that will assist with progressing the logistical set-up at the national level.
Scope of Work
The 2021 PRM Logistics Coordinator will be based at the Pacific Islands Forum Secretariat and will be accountable to the PIFS EU-PACRES Project Coordinator for all aspects of the work, including coordinating reports from the national level focal points as per specifications set out under the Terms of Reference (TOR) document which can be downloaded from www.tenders.net/forumsec.
Academic Qualifications
• Degree in social sciences, development, environment studies or equivalent,
• Demonstrated experience in organizing and coordinating regional events both physically and virtually,
• Demonstrated experience in drafting and writing reports,
• Demonstrated experience in working in the Pacific region.
