Firewall Upgrade Tender(Defense-In-Depth (DiD) Security Solution)

Background

In an effort to maximize on current information security trends, and approach towards mechanisms and controls, the Secretariat will be looking for reputable security service providers & solutions that will include the following best practices, tools and policies on information security:

• Firewalls – to control the flow of information through access and deny policies or rules
• Intrusion Prevention and Detection Systems – detection & prevention of malicious network activities, and zero-day attacks before it reaches the internal PIFS network
• End-point Detection & Response – provides anti-virus protection, alert, detection, threat triage and threat intelligence for the Users machine
• Network Segmentation – breaking the network into smaller networks for ease of management, and traffic control using the firewall. Segmentation is accomplished through the use of switches and firewall rules
• Principle of Least Privileges – requires policies and controls to assign individual Users the necessary network resources to perform their daily duties
• Strong passwords – a critical authentication mechanism in information security
• Patch Management – a process of applying updates to an operating system, software, hardware or plug-in. These updates are identified vulnerabilities that can allow unauthorized access to information systems, or networks

Also, to compliment the new Security DiD Solution, an intelligent network monitoring & management solution must be deployed to provide network performance, analytics, and proactive monitoring for the entire PIFS IT infrastructure.

The purpose of this tender is to look for a more innovative, intelligent, user-friendly, and resilient DiD Security Solution that will meet all the technical requirements for this tender, and also provide a more transparent return of investment to PIFS.
