(CONSULTANT)

The Pacific Islands Forum Secretariat (PIF) is inviting tenders from interested English-speaking applicants for the position of Pacific E-commerce Program Management Officer (Consultant).

The main activities for this assignment include assisting the PIF E-commerce Unit to deliver its Multi-Annual Work Plan 2024-27. This entails, among other things, (1) supporting the development of National E-commerce Strategies and Assessments, (2) supporting the implementation of the activities agreed upon by the Pacific E-commerce Alliance, (3) supporting the implementation of the secondment program for National M&E Officers, (4) managing the eCove Community, (5) implementing the PIF E-commerce Rules course for Pacific policymakers, (6) implementing the PIF E-Biz Plus program for the Pacific private sector, (7) implementing the Pacific E-commerce Statistics Development program, and (8) developing financial and activity reporting on the projects under implementation.

We are looking for consultant with recognised qualifications in Economics, Development Studies, Business Administration or Management and experience in development projects. The ideal candidate must be capable of managing the full project lifecycle from design to reporting with expertise in project management methodologies, procurement processes, and financial management. They should be experienced in liaising with donors, international and national development agencies, the public sector, the private sector and NGOs. Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential, along with relevant regional or sector-specific experience. Proficiency in English and the ability to adapt to dynamic project environments are also required.

INFORMATION

• Are financially solvent and able to conduct business operations in a professional and successful manner;
• Are not involved in any court proceedings which may affect their ability to conduct business or deliver the services tendered; and
• Do not appear on the World Bank’s listing of ineligible firms.
