RECRUITMENT OF A PQI COORDINATOR
(CONSULTANT)

The Pacific Islands Forum Secretariat (PIFS) is inviting tenders from interested English-speaking applicants for the position of Pacific Quality Infrastructure (PQI) Coordinator (Consultant).

The main activities for this assignment include:
(1) Develop and align the PQI Unit’s strategic framework and Multi-Annual Work Plan.
(2) Oversee and coordinate the activities of regional QI committees.
(3) Implement the PQI Unit's Multi-annual Work Plan, including managing procurement and providing technical advice.
(4) Manage financial resources and budgets for the PQI Initiative.
(5) Create and apply a monitoring and evaluation system, review progress, and report to stakeholders.
(6) Engage with key stakeholders and promote partnerships.
(7) Support efforts to secure additional funding from donors.
(8) Manage documents and enhance organisational capacity through training.
(9) Ensure compliance with regulations and standards through regular reviews.
(10) Implement communication and visibility activities to raise the PQI Initiative’s profile.

We are looking for an English-speaking consultant with recognized qualifications in natural or social sciences, quality management, public administration, or a QI-related field (standards, metrology, conformity assessment); with experience in leading quality infrastructure (QI) programmes, international development, coordination of international partners, and project management; and with strong detail oriented, communications, diplomatic, advocacy, and resource mobilization, skills.

INFORMATION

Only applicants who meet the following criteria are eligible to take part in tenders issued by the Secretariat:
• Are financially solvent and able to conduct business operations in a professional and successful manner;

• Do not appear on the World Bank’s listing of ineligible firms.
