RECRUITMENT OF A PQI TECHNICAL OFFICER
(CONSULTANT)
The Pacific Islands Forum Secretariat (PIFS) is inviting tenders from interested English-speaking applicants for the position of Pacific Quality Infrastructure (PQI) Technical Officer (Consultant).
The main activities for this assignment include:
(1) Provide secretarial support for regional committees and manage the PQI Portal;
(2) Oversee procurement, ensuring compliance with PIFS rules;
(3) Implement a PQI monitoring system and draft progress updates;
(4) Organise and maintain PQI documents per the filing system;
(5) Contribute to PQI communication efforts and develop a communication plan with newsletters;
(6) Coordinate logistics for workshops, meetings, and committees;
(7) Verify compliance of service providers with procurement guidelines; and
(8) Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Project Manager.
We are seeking a candidate with at least Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field although Master’s level qualifications would be preferred; with at least five years of experience in quality infrastructure or related projects, ideally in the Pacific region. Candidates with experience in supporting multi-stakeholder coordination, project and contract management, and strong organisational, communication skills, are encouraged to apply.
