Undertake clear fell harvesting and marketing operations of the final plantation crop at "Emu" Softwood Plantation at Dutson Downs. This is a single parcel of land under radiata pine located 28 kms south-east of the regional city of Sale in Gippsland.
Gippsland Water's Safety & Environmental Management Systems, Code of Practice for Timber Production 2014 and additional policies and procedures specific to Dutson Downs Environs must be followed.
In conjunction with Gippsland Water, the successful Contractor will be required to develop a Timber Harvesting Plan (THP) for the area to be harvested and submit to the relevant local government prior to the commencement of harvesting operations, specifically not less than 28 days before the commencement of any harvesting operations.
At the beginning of the logging season the Contractor will be required to provide a price structure identifying the estimated 'Royalty return' to Gippsland Water per tonne of Softwood and Class of Saw Log.
The Contractor will be required to provide regular and ad-hoc reporting on the status of Gippsland Water accounts.
