Scope of Work
Goulburn Valley Water has an obligation to maintain an accurate database of testable Backflow prevention devices in our region and to verify these devices are tested annually.
In addition we have a further obligation to investigate the need for individual properties within our service area to have the appropriate backflow prevention devices fitted to them to mitigate the risk of backflow to the Goulburn Valley Water reticulated water network.
It is required that the Backflow Prevention Compliance Program be undertaken in accordance with the General Conditions of Contract and this Specification for the Goulburn Valley Region Water Corporation (the ‘Corporation’).
The contract comprises the following items of works:
• compliance management for testable backflow prevention devices within the corporations region as per AS/NZS 3500 requirements;
• Monthly reporting and management of compliance database to the corporation
• Management of the annual testing requirements, including follow up of recalcitrant property owners.
