Scope of Works
Goulburn Valley Water Corporation has identified a need to undertake a comprehensive water main replacement program as part of its ongoing maintenance program for management of the water distribution system. The corporation is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced contractor to become a Service Provider for the replacement of water mains throughout the Goulburn Valley Water Region.
These works will assist in managing the standard of water services delivered to customers including quality and continuous supply without interruptions. The water mains comprise a mixture of materials with the most prevalent being asbestos cement (AC), cast iron (CI), ductile iron – concrete lined (DICL), steel, polyvinyl chloride (PVC) , polyethylene (PE) as well as galvanised wrought iron (GWI). While it is the older pipes that are considered most likely to fail some newer pipes may also require replacement.
