Scope of Works
The works of this contract comprise the design, supply, and installation of eleven switchboards and associated works as detailed below and in the appendices to this document. The switchboards need to be replaced due to their excessive age and wear.
The general scope of works for each site is as follows (please refer to the site specific specification in Appendix A for more details):
• Visit sites, undertake Dial Before You Dig (where required) to identify underground services;
• Detailed design of the replacement switchboards, including single line diagrams, control schematics, material schedules, label lists, construction plans and site layouts;
• Manufacture and supply of new switchboards cabinets and components (note: all components within the switchboard are to be replaced unless noted otherwise, with the exception of telemetry which is to remain);
• Relocate and rewire the remotely installed telemetry equipment into the new switchboard;
• Externally mounted switchboards require new GVW signage plates as per the existing format;
• Factory testing and site acceptance testing of equipment prior to delivery and after the site installation respectively as stated in the General Electrical Specification. The Superintendent shall be invited to witness equipment testing;
• Install new power metering chamber and coordinate the relocation of metering equipment in association with the power distribution company;
• Setting out the works;
• Construction of concrete slab and any other civil works required to accommodate the switchboards. Slabs to be 200 mm above surface level or leveled with the existing concrete platform with 50 mm clearance off switchboard face unless noted otherwise or with approval from the Superintendent;
• Rewiring of electrical equipment, removal and disposal of existing switchboards and redundant equipment, installation of new switchboard cabinets, installation of switches, meters and replacement components;
• Replacement of ball floats, wiring and alarms (where specified);
• Site restoration;
• Supply of all other materials not listed as being supplied by the Principal;
• Supply of equipment as necessary for the completion of the contract works; and
• Provision of As Construction Drawings, O&M Manuals (where applicable) and Asset Register of the switchboards.

The Principal will not entertain any claim whatsoever for matters arising from failure to inspect or assess the difficulties and obstructions involved in the work of this Contract.
The whole of the works of the Contract shall be done under the supervision and to the approval and satisfaction of the Superintendent.
