Contract Number: 7/2405/14 Shepparton WMF Gas Flare Optimisation
The Shepparton Water Management Facility (WMF) gas flare system draws methane gas from covered High Rate Anaerobic Lagoons (HRAL). The gas is delivered to Diamond Energy which is used to run a gas fired generator which operates primarily during peak demand periods. At other times, when gas needs to be disposed of, gas is consumed by the WMF gas flare system thus preventing over-pressurisation of the HRAL covers and minimising escape of methane gas to atmosphere and harm to the environment.
Brief scope of works:
The works of this contract comprise the detailed design, supply, construction/fabrication, loading, transportation, unloading, installation, testing and commissioning of the piping, equipment, electrical equipment, controls and instrumentation for the optimisation of the GVW Shepparton WMF gas flare system.
