Scope of Works
The works of this contract comprise the repair and refurbishment of the electrical switchboards and associated works as detailed in appendices.
The scope of works is as follows:
• Supply of equipment, material as necessary to repair and refurbish the switchboards.
• Carry out relevant civil works such as levelling of switchboard slabs, cables trenching etc.
• Seek Permits from relevant statutory regulatory and third-party approvals.
• Provide report including the photos of the completed works and Electrical Safety Certificate where a hardware relevant.
• All Electrical Switchboards must be clearly labelled with stickers identifying the electrical hazards that exist as per Appendix F
• All materials and accessories used in the execution of work and not otherwise specified shall be selected in accordance with the GVW Preferred Equipment List, refer to Appendix G.
• All workmanship shall be in accordance with GVW specifications and in their absence Australian Standards must to adopted.
• Colour coding of wires applies to only to all new work and must be wired in accordance with GVW’s electrical specification. The contractor in their report must report all instances where switchboards have wiring that doesn’t meet GVW’s electrical specification.
• All power outlets and lighting within electrical switchboards must have RCD protection installed regardless of whether it is listed as an item on the individual scope of work. Tenderer shall provide a schedule of rate to supply and install an RCD as requested in Schedule 4 of Tender Booklet and this rate shall be used, where required.
